class=\"post-title mb-3\">RESUMEN EJECUTIVO<\/h2><\/div><p>Este<span data-contrast=\"auto\"> proyecto incluy\u00f3 el trabajo coordinado de dos grupos de investigaci\u00f3n de referencia a nivel pa\u00eds. En primer lugar, el Dpto. de Fitoqu\u00edmica de la Facultad de Ciencias Qu\u00edmicas de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n, que lleva d\u00e9cadas de investigaci\u00f3n de compuestos naturales y que cuenta con un biobanco de extractos de plantas paraguayas empleadas en la b\u00fasqueda de actividad antibacteriana. En segundo lugar, el Dpto. de Microbiolog\u00eda del Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n, que ha realizado estudios de caracterizaci\u00f3n molecular de STEC en ganado en pie de Paraguay, en aguas y alimentos, desarrollando m\u00e9todos moleculares de alta sensibilidad para la detecci\u00f3n de este pat\u00f3geno en carne molida. Estos estudios permitieron generar un amplio biobanco de aislamientos STEC \u00fanico en el pa\u00eds.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559685&quot;:31}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La suma de las fortalezas de ambos equipos de investigaci\u00f3n permiti\u00f3 analizar los efectos de 20 extractos de plantas paraguayas sobre aislamientos de STEC provenientes de ganado bovino con capacidad de ser fuertes formadores de biofilm.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559685&quot;:31}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Los extractos de <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Aloysia virgata var. Platiphylla, Sidastrum paniculatum y Ocotea diospyrifolia<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> mostraron excelente actividad inhibidora de la formaci\u00f3n de biofilm de los aislados de STEC de los serogrupos O115, O74, O54 y O22, a una dosis de 10 mg\/dL. El efecto inhibidor a menores concentraciones de extracto es variable seg\u00fan los aislados, siendo O22 el m\u00e1s sensible de todos. En estos extractos pudieron identificarse compuestos como mayoritarios a: la Hoffmaniacetona-17-O-acetato y el \u00c1cido fer\u00falico en el caso de <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A. virgata<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">; al \u00e1cido <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">p<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">-cout\u00e1rico, \u00e1cido caft\u00e1rico y a la Moupinamida en<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> la especie <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">S. paniculatum<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;
